Weapons of Mass Destruction

Found this on the Dell website:

“Q4: Is the product used in connection with weapons of mass destruction, that is, in nuclear applications, rocket technology, or for chemical or biological weapons?”

dell questionnaire

OK, suppose I do intend to use my Dell pc, printer, handheld or LCD tv for this purpose… do they really expect me to tell them that?

gmail

Charl was so kind as to invite me for a gmail account!
Of course, I happily accepted!

I’m curious! Charl himself is very enthusiasic about it. I will just have to try and see. Of course, it’s webmail, so that’s a big drawback. And I already have a mail archive – it would be nice if you could import your old mail.

But the 1 gig is nice! That should last for a couple of years, I guess…
I hope…
My current mail archive (since 1996) is 497 Megabytes. But it’s getting more and more every year, of course!

Ziller- und Tuxertal

This morning (at 05.30), we returned from a short holiday in Austria. We hiked from hotel to hotel, while our luggage was transported for us. We started in Ramsau, in the Zillertal, and walked in 6 days to Hintertux in the Tuxertal, each day walking between 6 and 13 kilometers with up to 900 meters in height difference.
The last day, we ended up on the Hintertuxer glacier, at 3,250 meters above sea level. Very spectacular. And great weather too, as we had on all but one days.

For more info about the trip, check out the site of Aktiva tours, click “Oostenrijk” and then “Ziller- und Tuxertal”, or go directly to the pdf (all in Dutch).
