Your life under version control
A nice article, linked to by slashdot: how to put your life in a CVS repository. Well, actually just your entire home directory, but still…
Wow!
I mean, I like CVS, don’t get me wrong. I too use it for my documents, my sources, my homepage, but my entire home directory? Why would I want everything under version control? Why would I keep my mail in CVS? And why would I like to retrieve the files I deleted two years ago? I didn’t delete them for nothing, now, did I?
And what else would be the use of the Recycle Bin? Ha ha, no seriously, you just have to know what you’re doing if you type ‘rm’. Think twice before you press Enter. It’s not much fun if you can recover everything from your CVS repository!
Anyway, in the (unlikely) case that you would want to do the same as Joey, just read the article. Have fun!
Concessions
I’ve often seen the term “Concessions” in combination with entry fees for a museum, zoo, or cinema. Usually, this means you get a discount if you are a student, or a senior citizen.
But in the IMAX Theatre-at-Bristol, you also get a discount, if you are unemployed! Not having a job, does have its advantages!
I only wonder, how do they check that?
Do you get some sort of pass if you don’t have a job? Or do you get a certificate if you’re unemployed? But you mustn’t forget to put that in the shredder when you get a job! And will you get a new one when you’re fired?
Alcohol and traffic…

I am very ashamed to copy once again from another weblog, this time from mijnkopthee.nl, but again, I found this story simply too funny not to.
Makro
Just for the fun of it: here is a link to the latest Makro folder.
The story in short: weblogger Edward Breedveld got an email from the webmaster of the Makro site telling him to remove hyperlinks to this folder from his website, because he didn’t have permission to deeplink to the Makro site!
This resulted in a very funny email discussion.
